WHAT:

Magic Springs Water and Theme Park presents American country artist Josh Turner.  

 

WHO:

South Carolina native Josh Turner hit the country music scene in 2003 when he signed to MCA Nashville records and released the hit "Long Black Train." Turner debuted at the Grand Ole Opry in 2001 with "Long Black Train," and in 2007 Turner was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry as the second youngest member. Turner received two Grammy nominations in 2007 as male country vocal performance for "Would You Go With Me," and country album of the year for Your Man. In 2009, "Why Don't We Just Dance," the lead-off single from Turner's fourth album, Haywire, became his third number one hit. Punching Bag, Turner's fifth album was released in 2012 with the hit single "Time is Love" currently climbing the charts.

Campbell to co-produce Arkansas Bridal Fashion Show

Brandon D. Campbell, Little Rock Fashion Week's founder and executive producer, is the co-produce for the runway fashion show at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette 2012 Bridal Show on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. The bridal show is from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The runway fashion show is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

The fashion show will star the high fashion runway models, of all ages and sizes, from Oneofakind Talent Inc. modeling agency and past Little Rock Fashion Week presentations. LRFW's 2012 and 2011 Models of the Year Hannah Daniel, of Mabelvale, Ark and Larry Scruggs, of Pine Bluff, Ark are headlining the talented group. Models will wear clothes from Al's Formal, David's Bridal, Dillard's Park Plaza Mall, First Impressions, Jos A. Bank, Men's Warehouse and The Bridal Cottage.

WHAT:

Magic Springs Water and Theme Park presents Grammy award-winning, country music artist Gretchen Wilson.

 

WHO:

In 2004, Gretchen Wilsonwent overnight from talented obscurity to phenomenon with her Grammy Award-winning single "Redneck Woman," a number-one hit on the Billboard country charts.  The song served as the hit single for her debut album, Here for the Party.

The following year, Wilson released the title track All Jacked Up, which became the highest-debuting single for a female country artist.  Her third album, One of the Boys, was released in 2007.

WHAT:

Magic Springs Water and Theme Park presents Arkansas' own Kris Allen.

 

WHO:

The American musician and singer-songwriter from Conway, Arkansas gained overnight fame after winning the eighth season of American Idol.   Allen's Idol coronation song, "No Boundaries" and his version of "Heartless" both charted within the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. His post-Idol self-titled album was released in 2009 and debuted at number eleven on the U.S. Billboard 200.  Allen's second major-label album is Thank You Camellia was released on May 22, 2012.

 

WHEN:

The concert is Saturday, June 30, at the Magic Springs Timberwood Amphitheater.  Concert gates open at 6 p.m.; show starts at 8 p.m.

LRFW announces its 2012 fashion models

Little Rock Fashion Week has released a video, introducing the models who were selected to participate in LRFW 2012, which kicks off July 16-21 at various locations in Little Rock.

A record number of models auditioned at LRFW's annual Model Search on May 20th and May 27th. Models of all ages came from all over Arkansas and out of state to vie for a modeling opportunity at Arkansas's most influential fashion experience.

Founded in 2009 by Brandon D. Campbell, LRFW is produced independently by Campbell and LRFW staff. LRFW 2012 sponsors include: Oneofakind Talent Inc., The Salon Professional Academy, Sync Magazine, Grisham Law Firm, Holiday Inn Presidential Hotel, Riverside at Rockwater, Lulav, Cornerstone Pub, Little Rock Zoo, JK Referrals, Diva Shoes by Esha', Hot Springs & Beyond, Hola!
