LITTLE ROCK FASHION WEEK ANNOUNCES 2011 AWARDS

(August 5, 2011)  Little Rock, AR---   Little Rock Fashion Week (LRFW) is proud to announce that Laurella by Laurie B. Allen has been selected as the LRFW 2011 Clothing Line of the Year and model Larry Scruggs has been selected as LRFW 2011 Model of the Year.

Laurella, the fashion label owned by Pittsburgh native Laurie B. Allen, was chosen as the 2011 Clothing Line of the Year after her stunning presentation during LRFW's Posh Expression Fashion Experience, July 16.

Little Rock Fashion Week 2011 gets great reviews

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Little Rock Fashion Week 2011 has received many accolades for recent events.  Hosted by Today's THV's Ashley Blackstone and Peter Bailey of NBC's Nitecap with Peter Bailey, the Posh Expression Experience fashion show was the highlight of the week.

Showcasing fashion designers hand-selected by the producer of Little Rock Fashion Week, Brandon Campbell, all was aglow and full of excitement for the "fashionment" event (as Campbell calls it).

Located at the Statehouse Convention Center in the Peabody Hotel made for a lovely venue with much space for all who appeared at this event.  Upon entering, guests were able to view the vendor booths lining the walls of the long hallway.

Little Rock Fashion Week Media Mixer at the Lulav

On Wednesday night, July 13, Little Rock Fashion Week held their much anticipated Media Mixer for invitees and VIP's to come and commiserate their love of style.  The mixer was held at the Lulav (http://www.lulaveatery.com/), a posh dive in downtown Little Rock located at 220 West 6th Street.  The venue was swirling with models, designers, media and fashion enthusiasts alike to mingle with one another and enjoy the festivities.  

Listening to a jazzy saxaphone player while chatting with old friends and new was the toast of the town.  All was aflutter on this special evening hosted by Brandon Campbell, producer of Little Rock Fashion Week.  Designers were of varied experience and ages with the youngest, Aaliyah Fisher, being only thirteen years old.  The newbie on the block is Jo Claire Dodson who is an artist by trade crossing over into the fashion realm.

Hoyt joins Oaklawn full time

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -- Jennifer Hoyt, who assumed the media relations duties along with her husband, Rowland, during Oaklawn Park’s 2011 live race meet, has joined the track as their year-round Media Relations Manager. With the expanded role, Hoyt will now assistant the Marketing Department with gaming as well as live racing.

“Ever since Rolly and I were brought in to assist with the 2010 Racing Festival of the South, we have been impressed with Oaklawn Park,” said Hoyt. “We truly did not want leave after the live meet, so it’s very exciting to be going back. I’m looking forward to taking on the new challenges of working with the gaming side and of course, will be counting the days until the 2012 live season.”

Hoyt previously worked as Marketing Manager for Eclipse Press, the book division of Blood Horse Publications.

Conway and The King are back - at least for one night.  The legendary musicians are being honored at a tribute show on July 16 at The RayLynn Theatre.
