MDA Hot Springs Lock-Up

MDA Hot Springs Lock-Up

On Wednesday, April 27, Hot Springs business and community leaders will go behind bars for "GOOD" at the Hamilton House Bed and Breakfast.

Each jailbirds' bail has been set at $2,000 and they will not give up until they can raise this bail to help "free" Arkansans with neuromuscular disease. Jailbirds will enjoy gourmet "bread and water" catered by Starbucks and Papa Johns pizza, and will enjoy computer and internet access from Cricket Wireless. These jailbirds will be arrested and escorted to the Hamilton House by Hot Springs Firefighters and Emergency services! This is a serious mission and we won't stop until we have made our mark in Hot Springs. Come on Hot Springs community members, let's raise awareness and services for these people suffering from MD in our community.

PRICECREW ready for Big-Time

PRICECREW ready for Big-Time

PRICECREW is made up of four brothers from Jacksonville, Arkansas. Philip-24, Zachary-21, Jacob-15 and Caleb-14; Caleb was barely two years old at that first performance but he still knew the right way to move. The crew has been singing and dancing ever since. There is something special going on when four brothers from Arkansas can sing, dance and put on a show the way PRICECREW can.

Throughout the past few years the brothers have grown to understand it takes hard work and dedication to accomplish what their dreams hold. They have played countless venues and are always looking for ways to improve their act, as well as pushing themselves to make the best music they possibly can.

Over the years they have performed at the local festivals and venues, including Riverfest and Magic Springs' Summer Concert Series, gaining popularity throughout Central Arkansas.

Arkansas Theatreworks' premiers with 'Marilyn: Forever Blonde'

Arkansas Theatreworks' premiers with 'Marilyn: Forever Blonde'

By Shelly Kleinman

I won’t say that it hasn’t been a challenge, but after over two years of struggle and planning, our dream of a local, professional theatre company is finally being realized on May 4 when Arkansas TheatreWorks presents international award winning Sunny Thompson starring in "Marilyn: Forever Blonde."

Our new home is the Central Theatre in downtown Hot Springs.  MFB (Marilyn: Forever Blonde) is the first of five productions which we’ll be doing between May and November, and is on a national tour.  The remaining four shows we’ll be producing ourselves, using the best available local talent we can assemble between here and Little Rock.

MFB is an incredible show which has played and garnered awards everywhere from this country to New Zealand,  Australia, Scotland, London and more.  And though it is filled with music (17 songs), don’t think it’s a piece of fluff.  The subtitle of the show is “The M

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Consider this: Where would you turn for advice on assisting a loved one affected by Alzheimer's? How will your basic needs be met should your child become ill with cancer? What kinds of chemicals and additives are in your food -- and how is it affecting your health?

Do you know where to go to even get these answers?

Earlier this spring I was able to attend an event at War Memorial Stadium called "Little Rock Serves," which is sponsored by Create Little Rock, an arm of the Little Rock Chamber.
