LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Since it's the 75th Anniversary of the Arkansas State Fair this year, they're doing something special by bringing back the parade for the first time since 1983.

The fair kicks off on October 10 and lasts through the 19, and the parade will take place on Saturday morning.

The most exciting news about the fair is that registration is now officially open for the Ugly Dog Contest.

THV 11 in My Town visit: Russellville

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) – My most recent THV11 in My Town visit brought me to the lovely city of Russellville.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

My first stop on this visit was at the Chamber of Commerce with executive vice president Stephanie Beerman and Amanda Johnson, A&P marketing assistant for the Arkansas River Valley Tri-Peak Regions.

While a COC is always centered on business and providing its members with multiple networking opportunities, Stephanie also had an extended list of new events coming up in the Russellville area that the city’s residents can enjoy.

The Cassini space craft has lifted the veil on this once mysterious giant of our solar system. Data has been collected, not only on the giant itself, but also on the many moons orbiting Saturn and the countless particles encircling the planet known to all as the rings of Saturn. This data will be studied for years to come. (36 min)
