Break free the earthly bonds of mortals and let your spirit soar among the awesome raptors of DeGray Lake Resort State Park’s Annual Eagles Et Cetera Festival! Encounter eagles, hawks, owls and other birds of prey during a variety of programs both indoors and out.  Programs begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28 and continue through 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30.

As the longest running eagle awareness event in Arkansas, Eagles Et Cetera offers something for everyone.  There will be guided eagle tours on beautiful DeGray Lake, bird hikes, owl prowls, programs, games, several live bird shows and much, much more.  DeGray Lake Resort State Park has teamed up with the Little Rock Zoo, wildlife rehabilitator Rodney Paul, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and others to bring you a variety of opportunities to encounter live birds including owls, hawks, vultures and a bald eagle.  There will be a falconry demonstrations, rehabilitated raptor release, a bird of prey meet and greet and the live birds of prey shows.

All programs are free except for the eagle tours.  The tours cost $8.50 per adult, $4.50 per child age 6-12 and free for children under 6.  A limited number of reservations will be taken for eagle tours beginning Monday, January 24 at 8:00 a.m. (call 1-800-737-8355).   Registration for remaining eagle tour seats will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28.  You can register in person at the lodge front desk or by calling the number listed above. Participants are strongly encouraged to dress warmly for outdoor programs, especially tours on the lake.  There are a variety of programs offered indoors for those wishing to avoid chilly weather.  Binoculars and cameras are welcome.
