Sherriff's Dept.: Stay off these roads...

According to the Garland County Sheriff's Department, the following roads in Garland County will be blocked to through traffic, for an indefinite period:

+ Warren Watson Road at the Glazypeau Gate of Hot Springs Village

+ Surry Road from Hwy 7 North in to Ranch Estates

+ Walnut Valley Road from Hwy 7 North

The utility companies efforts are being hindered, and their safety compromised, due to the flow of traffic in these areas. This is due to the amount of debris on the sides of the roads and the utility trucks having no place to park their equipment but in the roadway. It is creating a hazardous condition for both the work crews and the vehicles traveling the roads.

Until further notice, officials ask that those needing to travel those roads use alternate routes that don't take them through storm damaged areas.
