Ouachita National Forest recognizes outstanding employees

HOT SPRINGS, Ark—The Ouachita National Forest recently honored Lori Nichols, Budget Technician for the Supervisor’s Office, as the 2011 Business Management Employee of the Year and Dale Morris, Timber Marking Foreman on the Caddo-Womble Ranger District, as 2011 Forestry Employee of the Year.

The awards recognized their exceptional work accomplishments and partnerships with outside organizations, along with their interests in communicating the goals and objectives of the Forest Service.  They were also honored for their spirit of teamwork and cooperation among fellow employees and for promoting safety in the work place.

“Lori and Dale’s attitudes and work ethics, along with their willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty to get the job done are among the qualities that make them valuable assets not only to their supervisors, coworkers and communities, but to efficient and effective management as a whole,” stated Forest Supervisor Norm Wagoner. “We are fortunate to have many outstanding employees working throughout the Forest Service, and it’s wonderful to be able to recognize two of the employees who exemplify the spirit of the Ouachita National Forest,” continued Wagoner.
