HOT SPRINGS, Ark (KTHV) -- Garland County Sheriff's Office investigators are searching for 36-year-old Jason Ripley. He is wanted after allegedly kidnapping and torturing a woman.

The victim, a 22-year-old female, told police deputies she was at a friend's house when the suspect kidnapped her, beat her, tortured her with a stun gun and forced her to take pills.

Ripley has an extensive criminal record dating back to 1993. According to Lt. James Martin with the Garland County Sheriff's Department, the list includes:

-Possession of firearm, felony
-Theft by receiving, felony
-Parole hold
-Second degree battery, felony
-Violating terms of probation, felony
-False imprisonment, felony
-Aggravated assault, felony
-Burglary, felony

Lt. Martin says ,"You know anytime you've got someone who's done what he's done, you have to be concerned about it. I don't think that it's a random act so there is no need for us at this time to feel like the general public is in danger."

He goes on to say, "We do feel that he is still in Garland County, and we would ask that anybody that has any information on his whereabouts give our investigators a call."

If you have any information call Garland County Sheriff's Department at (501) 622-3660 or their anonymous tip line at (501) 622-3674. The Garland County Sheriff's Department is offering a reward for information that leads to Ripley's location, arrest, and conviction.
