News

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) -- A Hot Springs father is facing charges after hospital personnel found multiple injuries on a 3-month-old child.

According to a press release shared with THV11 by public information officer Kirk Zaner, the Hot Springs Police Department was contacted by Arkansas Children's Hospital staff Tuesday evening.

An emergency room doctor is said to have notified police of the baby, Zayden Page, having injuries that included a burn on his neck, a broken collar bone, rib fractures, and multiple bruises to the head and face.

The child's father James Page was originally arrested and booked into the Garland County Detention Center for first degree domestic battery. That charge was later upgraded to capital murder after the child died at approximately 8:25 p.m. on November 5. Zaner indicated to THV11 on Friday that a press release would be forthcoming. Page's bond, originally set at $1,000,000, has been changed to no bond.
