Around 20 displaced after Hot Springs apartment fire

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) - A fire heavily damaged an apartment building Monday night, according to the Hot Springs Fire Department.
Captain Charles Nicholson said the fire started around 10 p.m. on Prospect Avenue, and due to the age of the building, they were battling flames inside the walls and it took around three hours to finally knock down.
He said the fire didn't spread to the attic area, though about ten apartments were damaged and around 20 residents displaced.
One apartment resident was treated for smoke inhalation, Captain Nicholson told THV11.
The fire remains under investigation.
