Conway and The King are back - at least for one night.  The legendary musicians are being honored at a tribute show on July 16 at The RayLynn Theatre. HOT SPRINGS, ARK—Forest managers invite the public to participate in an opportunity to review and provide comments on special local forest orders that are scheduled to be renewed/revised this year.

Special orders, utilized by law enforcement officers, are designed to improve public safety and help ensure resource protection.  The orders are typically issued for five-year periods, with many expiring in 2011.

Rodney Atkins Performs at the 2011 Pepsi Concert Series at Magic Springs

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -- Magic Springs Water and Theme Park presents American country music artist Rodney Atkins.   
 
The platinum-selling song “If You’re Going Through Hell” gave Rodney Atkins his true breakthrough, while ”Farmer’s Daughter” and “These Are My People” were among chart-topping hits as well.  In addition to the overwhelming radio and video airplay, Atkins has earned the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Male Vocalist award, plus five other ACM nominations and two Country Music Association nominations. Rodney Atkins is the sixth of 12 concerts scheduled every Saturday night through August 13, at Magic Springs Water and Theme Park.
 
The concert is Saturday, July 2, at the Magic Springs Timberwood Amphitheater.

The Arkansas Department of Health is reminding parents of the danger that is present when young children are around swimming pools, lakes and streams.  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “Every day, about ten people die from unintentional drowning. Of these, two are children aged 14 or younger.

Kids can head over to the Pinecone Playhouse at Magic Springs to be on stage and sing some of their favorite songs. The music, microphone, costume and even backup dancing will be provided! Show are at 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. every day except Tuesdays from June 11-Aug. 14.
