Little Rock, Ark. – Since 2009 Brandon D. Campbell has been producing Little Rock Fashion Week (LRFW), and this year will be unlike any other experience.

July 13-July 18 will be a week filled with memorable fashion moments. On July 18, LRFW will hold its BIG Night exclusive fashion event on the fourth block of Main Street in downtown Little Rock. It will mark the return of Little Rock’s very own TV news personality Keristen Holmes as the show host.

“I couldn’t be more excited to go back home to host LRFW Big Night”, says Holmes. Holmes, a local southern news anchor, is how one would describe her, “I’m just a girl from Pike who made it.”

Holmes is a North Little Rock native. Holmes states, “As a high school student, I was involved in every activity from cheerleading to competitive speech.” At North Little Rock High she was her own renaissance woman in the making.

As a University of Central Arkansas undergraduate student, Holmes got her start as a news anchor while interning with UCA News 6 and KHOG 40, an ABC affiliate in Northwest Arkansas. As an intern, Holmes was motivated. She would take the initiative to go out and learn her field of interest.

She says, “In college, being a news anchor is what I wanted my career to be, and luckily I knew early on.”

Today, Holmes is the KTBS 3 ABC morning show host in Shreveport, La. She’s been a news anchor at the station for three years. Holmes enjoys her job, because it’s diverse, cultured and each day is a different experience.

Holmes gives her advice to young adults and states “whether it be wanting to model in LRFW, establish a fashion career or be a news anchor always follow your dreams and goals.”

The dress code for LRFW’s BIG Night on July 18 is red cocktail attire. Holmes', who plans to wear a stunning wardrobe from a local boutique, style that night could be reminiscent of fashion icon Jackie O. She describes herself as a 'girly' girl who loves dresses. Holmes admires bold colors and classic small trends. She says “small trends like pearls can never go out of style.”

She modestly describes herself as “fashion challenged” and shops at places like TJMaxx and Marshals. With the opportunity to Host LRFW Big Night it could give Holmes the chance to spring out of her usual on air TV attire and be even more fashion forward.

With LRFW’s Fashion, Beauty, Modeling and Photography Workshop (July 14) and Beyond the Runway: Inside at LRFW (July 15) guests who consider themselves fashion challenged will have the opportunity to learn more about fashion and style tips. This should get patrons of LRFW prepared for the finale event, Big Night on July 18th.

“I’m excited to be working with her. It’s been a long time coming,” says Campbell. “Having Keristen, whom I believe is the next big TV news personality in America, come home to host, having the Big Night outside on Main Street, under the stars and the show lights bouncing off the designers’ brand new clothing, I couldn't ask for anything better” Campbell.
