In Woods Expo Coming to Hot Springs June 18-20

HOT SPRINGS, ARK. – The In-Woods Expo - a live, outdoor forestry event open to the public - takes place just outside of Hot Springs this coming June. The Arkansas Timber Producers Association (ATPA) and Hatton-Brown Publishers Inc. have partnered to bring a larger-than-ever expo show, sure to entertain families, educate forestry professionals from across the South, and exhibit the latest advancements in forestry and logging technology.

A 300-acre area, owned by Weyerhaeuser, will be transformed June 18-20 into a walk-through showcase of logging equipment, loading competitions, dozers, live logging demonstrations, exhibitor booth space, giveaways, and more. On-site parking, food, and family activities will create an exciting atmosphere that is easily accessible to residents and visitors from across Arkansas and the South. Children 17 and under are free; all other attendees can register in advance for $15 access, or pay $20 for entry at the gate. Attendees may find advance registration available at www.arkloggers.com/expo.

“While the In-Woods Expo isn’t new to Arkansas, we are excited about a larger, more hands-on event than ever hosted before. The forestry community is one that touches almost every Arkansan whether by trade, family land, or connection to our state’s forested areas. We are confident that the Expo has something to offer to everyone,” said ATPA Executive Director Larry Boccarossa.

Forestry and logging professionals from across the South attend to learn about the latest advancements in parts, attachments, techniques, machine capabilities, training, new factories and dealers, log and fiber consumer opportunities, new market exploration,  and a look at the most modern forestry technology on the horizon. For families, the exposure presents a personalized experience with one of the South’s oldest industries that continues to support local economies and create jobs for Arkansans. This event also offers specialized training to landowners and loggers concerning Best Management Practices for water quality and land management, as the relationship between buyers and sellers of timber grows with an improving economy.

Landowners and families may tour exhibits, demonstrations, and sites, and learn something new about how and why forestry is important to Arkansas,  June 18-20 at the following physical address, a short drive from Hot Springs: 4479 Highway 128, Lonsdale Arkansas 72087.
